Practical faith

Not devotions — those are in the app. These are the practical questions underneath a devotional habit: how to start one that lasts, what to do when it collapses, and how to read the Bible when you have eleven minutes and a toddler awake upstairs.
Most writing about quiet time assumes a version of your life that does not exist — an unhurried hour, a tidy table, nobody needing anything. Very few people live there. What follows assumes the opposite: that your time is fragmented, your energy is uneven, and you have started and stopped before.
That last part matters more than it gets credit for. Almost everyone reading this has begun a daily habit at some point and watched it fade by week three. That is not a failure of devotion; it is usually a failure of design — a plan built for a life nobody actually has. These pieces are about the design.
