Is the app free?
Yes. Daily Bread Devotional for Men is free to download and free to use on iOS. There is no Android version yet.
How many devotions and studies are there?
More than 400 — daily verses, written devotions and guided studies, with new ones added over time. They are grouped into topics like strength, temptation, provision and purpose, so you can start wherever you are today rather than at page one.
Which Bible translations are included?
Both the King James Version and the English Standard Version. The Verse of the Day and the full in-app Bible reader are available in each, so you can read in the language you grew up with or the one that lands most clearly.
Who writes the devotions?
Real people — not algorithms. Every devotion is written and edited by people of faith, for men of faith, which is why the words read like someone meant them rather than like something assembled.
Is there audio, or is it reading only?
There is audio. The full Bible reader includes narration, so you can listen while driving or working, and the app carries calming audio and music for quieter moments.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. The daily verse, the written devotions, the study plans and the full Bible reader all work offline, so a plane, a basement or a dead patch of motorway makes no difference to your morning.
How do the guided study plans work?
Each plan is a short sequence — a passage, a written reflection, and something to sit with. Plans like “Trust In The Lord” run over several days, and you read them at your own pace rather than to a schedule, so a plan you set down three weeks ago is simply one you can pick up again.
Can I set a daily reminder?
Yes — the app can ring a church bell at a time you choose, so the morning has a marker in it. One reminder, at your hour. It is a nudge, not a streak to defend.
Can I keep notes or journal in the app?
Yes. Journals are built in, so you can write down what a passage raised without reaching for another app, and there are guided prayers when you would rather be led than start from a blank page.
Is it available on Android?
Not at the moment — Daily Bread Devotional for Men is on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad. If Android is what you carry, the App Store listing is the best place to watch.
Is there a version for women?
Yes — the Daily Devotional For Women App is the companion app from the same team, with devotions and studies written for women.
